Our client, an established SME service provider, is currently recruiting a Finance Apprentice to join their Finance team. The Finance Apprentice will be responsible for supporting the Finance Director and wider finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and insightful analysis. This role provides the opportunity to undertake a structured accounting qualification and would act as an ideal step into a financial career.
Key Responsibilities for the Finance Apprentice:
- Assist with sales and purchase ledger processes
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Support departmental cost analysis
- Prepare accruals and prepayments schedules
- Support balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with analysis of gross margin and overheads
- Support with yearend deliverables for statutory reporting
- Support finance system development
- Document and strengthen internal controls
Skills Required for the Finance Apprentice:
- Strong numeracy skills with an analytical mindset
- A-levels or a degree in a finance related field
- Some finance or office experience is desired
- Good Excel skills (or strong aptitude to learn)
- Strong communication skills
