Our client is currently looking for a CNC Machinist to join their high precision manufacturing team. The CNC Machinist will be operating 3, 4 & 5 Axis CNC machines and ideally have experience of using Fanuc controls. This role involves working on a late shift from 12pm to 10pm, Monday to Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Operating any of the company’s VMC and 4 or 5 Axis CNC machines
- Performing First Offs, checking dimensional quality and amending machine settings in pursuit of component design requirements
- Operating to an acceptable production target while maintaining a high standard of quality where right‑first‑time is paramount
- Setting up and operating all types of manual machining equipment, covering milling, turning, grinding and marking processes
Key Experience / Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CNC Operator on either 3/4 or 5 axis
- Excellent attention to detail and mechanical dexterity when dealing with small precision parts
- Problem identification and rectification
- Ability to read engineering drawings and comprehension of geometric tolerancing
- Good working knowledge of both ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Systems
