Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Broadcast Support Engineer to join their team. The Broadcast Support Engineer will be providing support to the various broadcast facilities and ideally have a background in supporting and maintaining IP Networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 2nd line support to broadcast equipment within studios, apparatus rooms, and galleries, for example: production switchers, broadcast cameras, AV routers, audio mixers, modular infrastructure.
  • Providing 2nd line support to Net Insight Nimbra AnyLive network and associated equipment.
  • Supporting and maintaining various IP networks using the following hardware: Cisco, Arista and FS.
  • Supporting our satellite dish farm with reactive fault finding and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability and competence to evaluate technical problems using appropriate broadcast and networking test and measurement equipment.
  • Imaginative approach to problem solving.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Team working and lone working skills.
  • To keep the Broadcast Support Manager/Production/NOC Staff appraised of the status of any issues, as appropriate.
  • To log all faults and irregularities and pass information between shifts.
  • To assist with in-house broadcast project and installation work.
