As an Azure Platform Engineer, you\’ll play a key role in designing, building, and supporting scalable infrastructure solutions in Azure. You\’ll work across a broad range of technologies including SaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, storage, and security. This is a hands-on role where you\’ll contribute to projects, embed automation and security by design, and collaborate closely with product and development teams in an Agile environment.
Key skills for the Azure Platform Engineer:
Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform in a DevOps environment.
Drive adoption of Kubernetes (AKS) and containerised applications.
Design and manage CI/CD workflows for infrastructure deployment.
Implement observability and monitoring with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and Open Telemetry.
Champion security and compliance, embedding policies into IaC and CI/CD processes.
Support migrations into Azure and contribute to the platform roadmap.
Act as a subject matter expert, mentoring colleagues and liaising with external vendors when required.Key skills for the Azure Platform Engineer:
3+ years\’ experience working as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
6+ years in infrastructure engineering or support roles (Windows Server, Active Directory, etc.).
Hands-on experience with Terraform and IaC in a DevOps setting.
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker.
Familiarity with Azure hub/spoke architecture, networking, IDAM, and security best practices.
Knowledge of ITIL processes (release, deployment, change management).
