We’re looking for an experienced IaaS Project Engineer to join an Infrastructure team on a 6-month contract. This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of remote and in-office work (West Malling), and is paying up to £630 per day inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities for the IaaS Project Engineer:
- Manage incident and request fulfilment tickets within SLA timeframes
- Monitor infrastructure health and respond proactively to issues
- Provide hands-on support for IT projects and new initiatives
- Investigate and remediate security vulnerabilities or breaches
- Implement best practices for infrastructure design and build
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business, adapting your communication style to suit both technical and non-technical audiences
Key skills for the IaaS Project Engineer:
- Proven 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer – not a service desk role
- Hands-on experience in both traditional IT Infrastructure and Azure IaaS/PaaS environments
- Strong knowledge of virtualisation tools, including VMware and vSphere
- Familiarity with IT and Cyber Security tools and practices (firewalls, antivirus, patching, IDS/IDP)
- Background in delivering and supporting infrastructure and software development projects
- Experience with SAN technologies, including storage configuration and fibre channel connectivity
- Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, and a team-first attitude
