Location: Hybrid – 2 days/week in West Malling office

Rate: Up to £630 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract: 6 months

We’re looking for an experienced IaaS Project Engineer to join an Infrastructure team on a 6-month contract. This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of remote and in-office work (West Malling), and is paying up to £630 per day inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities for the IaaS Project Engineer:

  • Manage incident and request fulfilment tickets within SLA timeframes
  • Monitor infrastructure health and respond proactively to issues
  • Provide hands-on support for IT projects and new initiatives
  • Investigate and remediate security vulnerabilities or breaches
  • Implement best practices for infrastructure design and build
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business, adapting your communication style to suit both technical and non-technical audiences

Key skills for the IaaS Project Engineer:

  • Proven 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer – not a service desk role
  • Hands-on experience in both traditional IT Infrastructure and Azure IaaS/PaaS environments
  • Strong knowledge of virtualisation tools, including VMware and vSphere
  • Familiarity with IT and Cyber Security tools and practices (firewalls, antivirus, patching, IDS/IDP)
  • Background in delivering and supporting infrastructure and software development projects
  • Experience with SAN technologies, including storage configuration and fibre channel connectivity
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, and a team-first attitude
