Our client, an established passenger transport company, is currently recruiting an Engineering Manager to join their engineering team. The Engineering Manager will have full responsibility for the Engineering function, ensuring outstanding standards of safety, compliance, reliability, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities for the Engineering Manager:

  • Own and control engineering budgets, delivering cost-effective performance
  • Lead and develop the Engineering team, driving engagement, training, and compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with DVSA, Health & Safety, and operational legislation
  • Oversee the effective use of diagnostic tools, workshop equipment, and engineering systems
  • Provide accurate cost analysis and insights to support operational planning

Skills Required for the Engineering Manager:

  • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager in a PCV environment
  • Experience managing a large fleet or multi-site engineering operation
  • Recognised engineering qualification (e.g. Level 3 HGV City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent)
  • NEBOSH qualified
  • Good knowledge of DVSA standards, H&S legislation, and engineering processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Driving License
