The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
Our client is seeking a Manual Turner to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The Manual Turner will be responsible for operating manual lathes to create or modify precision components to customer specifications. The Manual Turner must have experience working on high-quality precision component standards.
Key Responsibilities for the Manual Turner:
- Able to reach engineering drawings
- Able to work on their own initiative, but also be part of the team
- Machine inspections for mechanical or safety issues
- Maintain an accurate log of production and equipment problems, adjustments and repairs
- Carefully following procedures and safety guidelines, including company procedures, operating standards and process documentation
- Cut, grind or drill materials as required
Skills Required for the Manual Turner:
- Experienced with Lathe (Manual Machines)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of general engineering practices such as measuring/marking off/manual drilling/tapping/fabrication set up and tacking
- Knowledge of safety and manufacturing regulations and procedures
