Our client is currently recruiting for a Horizontal Borer to join their precision engineering team.
The Horizontal Borer will have experience of interpreting drawings and manual horizontal boring experience.
This will be based onsite 39 hours a week with plenty of chance to work over time.
Key Responsibilities for the Horizontal Borer
- Working to coordinates, boring holes with Wolhaupter Boring Heads, Milling, Drilling and Tapping
- Manufacturing small 1 to 5 off batches, castings in cast iron or aluminium or welded fabrication
- Key Experience for the Horizontal Borer
- Experience with Boring machines, preferably apprenticed trained with experience setting up workpieces for finish machining.
- Good measurement skills using bore micrometres
- Be able to interpret 2D drawings
