The Professional Services division is responsible for delivering change and transformation advisory services to existing clients on Clearwater’s SaaS platform. The subject matter expert (SME) works on a variety of client projects in Investment Accounting, General Ledger, Client Reporting, and Derivatives & Alternatives asset classes. All client projects are billable via professional services fees.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify opportunities for value‑added professional services with existing steady‑state clients by working closely with Client Services and Clearwater leadership teams.
  • Provide hands‑on expertise in Clearwater’s core offerings of Accounting, Compliance, Risk, and Performance reports, applying best‑practice solutions.
  • Analyze requirements and design solutions considering complexity and scale.
  • Strategize with client services, product management, and development teams to enhance the client change‑management experience, optimize delivery timeframes, and establish repeatable, scalable processes.
  • Serve as a trusted client advocate and confident client advisor.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a related field.
  • CFA or CPA desirable.
  • Proven experience in client servicing and/or onboarding teams.
  • Advanced experience with general ledger systems and period‑end close processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of investment accounting policies and procedures.
  • Experience with securities or financial markets, especially involving alternative assets.
  • Knowledge of at least one specific market/regulatory regime (e.g., NAIC, Local GAAP).
  • Knowledge of Clearwater platform data migration processes— inbound/outbound feeds, cost basis file loads, load parallels, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; strong problem‑solving abilities.
