We’re looking for an Energy Manager to join our team and support the growing demand for technical consultancy services across our client base. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in energy systems and a passion for helping businesses on their path to net zero.
What is the job about?
As Energy Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing tailored, high-quality consultancy support to clients at every stage of their net zero journey. From conducting audits and site surveys to delivering reduction roadmaps and compliance support, you’ll be the trusted technical advisor that helps clients make informed, impactful decisions.
This is a hands-on role that blends engineering knowledge with customer-facing consultancy. You’ll work across a wide range of industries, both on-site and remotely, using ClearVUE’s digital tools to deliver data-led guidance that drives real carbon and cost savings.
What exactly will you do?
- Lead energy and carbon assessments for a portfolio of commercial and industrial clients
- Use ClearVUE.Zero to provide proactive energy management and analysis
- Conduct site surveys and energy audits to identify savings opportunities
- Support ClearVUE installations, working with clients to determine best-fit solutions
- Act as a virtual or part-time energy manager, delivering strategic support to clients
- Deliver compliance-related services such as SECR and ESOS reporting
- Provide long-term advisory support, helping clients progress from insight to action
- Support the development of ClearVUE’s platform and IoT solutions through client feedback
- Represent ClearVUE in client meetings, workshops, and sustainability forums
What we’re looking for
- Degree-qualified in engineering, energy, or a related technical discipline
- 4–10 years’ experience in energy and carbon management (consultancy or in-house)
- Strong understanding of energy auditing and reduction methodologies (e.g. BS16247)
- Experience with energy management systems, smart metering, and IoT tools
- Ability to analyse data and clearly communicate recommendations to stakeholders
- Professional, confident, and adaptable in both industrial and commercial settings
- UK Driving Licence, and willingness to travel for site visits across the UK and Europe
Bonus points
- Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g. CIBSE, Energy Institute)
- Familiarity with BMS systems and advanced metering infrastructure
- Voluntary or community involvement in environmental or climate-focused initiatives
- Experience in delivering staff training or energy workshops
