ClearToken CCP is seeking two Non-Executive Directors with risk and crisis management experience. One of the candidates should have a deep knowledge of clearing, market risk, margin methodologies and default management procedures in financial markets. The other candidate will have broad operational risk experience, either from within financial markets or from other sectors that deliver critical services.
Desired Qualifications/Attributes of the Combined Candidates:
- Direct experience in the operation or regulation of a CCP and meeting the operational standards for Financial Market Infrastructures, FMIs.
- Understanding of clearing and CCP operations, risk profiles and systemic risk.
- Experience in market risk measurement, margin methodologies and default management.
- A knowledge of clearing regulations for CCPs including governance, risk management and operational requirements.
- Knowledge of operational risk management frameworks, business continuity requirements and cyber risks.
- Familiarity with crypto-asset markets, blockchain technology, tokenisation, and the evolving regulatory landscape for digital assets.
- Experience in managing or overseeing crises such as defaults, cyber incidents or other severe operational disruptions.
The candidates will complement the current skillset of highly experienced financial services professionals on the Board. Diversity of backgrounds and perspectives is valued. Non-Executive experience is not necessary but previous experience interacting with corporate boards and regulators would be helpful.

ClearToken Group is seeking to accelerate the institutional adoption of digital assets through the development of regulated post trade market infrastructure that serves to bring efficiency, and stability, to the digital asset ecosystem. As blockchain advances, the firm aims to leverage the principles of traditional market infrastructure with modern capabilities and provide a framework for clearing, settlement, payments and registry services for digital assets through regulated CCP and CSD entities. ClearToken is headquartered in the UK and the CCP will be regulated in the UK.
Time Commitment:
Approximately 20-30 days per calendar year. Meetings are conducted in person and remotely. ClearToken is a young company going through rapid change. NED flexibility and responsiveness is, therefore, important as it navigates the journey to maturity.
