Department: Assurance/Compliance
Reporting to: Senior Auditor - Initial and Large Site Accommodations
Location: This role will be primarily based at Crowborough and Wethersfield Sites, but some travel occasionally within the UK may be required.
Contract type: Permanent
Hours of work: 40 hours per week (Mon - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm)
Salary: £38,000.00 - £43,000.00 per annum
Responsibilities
- Develop, drive and maintain an overall risk management and assurance strategy for the MOD sites.
- Utilise the risk management process to assess potential impact and create solutions to reduce/remove known risks.
- Offer contractual guidance and support to colleagues where needed.
- Manage daily incident reviews, CCTV, visitor management and weekly physical site assessments.
- Support operational teams with Business Continuity and Major Incident management.
- Support operational colleagues on site to ensure the site is audited against contractual requirements annually and produce corrective action plans.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with policies, SOPs and supporting documentation, and support implementation of changes and amendments.
- Act as a catalyst for improvement, adherence and consistency in Risk Management.
- Conduct assurance reviews and physical site assessments to provide efficient and effective solutions to potential business risk.
- Support the function with maintaining professional standards and assist with the internal investigations process as required.
- Conduct audits of policy and compliance with standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors.
- Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organisation.
- Provide management information to team meetings, Senior Management and Directors to enable progress measurement and review.
- Identify reputational risks in respect of AASC delivery and ensure appropriate intervention and escalation to the Senior Auditor and Head of Assurance.
- Travel primarily within the UK as required.
Support for Service Users
- Assess and undertake reviews of the service provisions by the sites team.
- Maintain adequate stocks of correct information documentation/booklets proactively.
- Review induction process and signposting procedures for Service Users supported to register with doctors and schools.
- Review Sites team reporting of Incident Reports for gaps in reporting standards.
- Sample risk and compliance management to identify non-conformances in the quality management system.
- Ensure staff are aware and implement necessary processes to maintain SUS health and safety.
- Ensure certification and documentation is produced and recorded accurately.
- Work with Safeguarding Team to identify best practices in safeguarding directives.
- Work with other CRH Departments to ensure recommendations from UKVI Inspections and FRA recommendations are followed up.
