The Team Leader is responsible for all elements of welfare, safeguarding and administration for a large cohort of Service Users. Adhering to the details of the Standard Operating Procedures, the Team Leader responds to matters as they arise and oversees intervention from internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of Service Users on the site, signpost as necessary to medical centre, support agencies, etc.
- Conduct regular visits to accommodation, report incidents, SU issues, absconders across the site.
- Ensure Service Users are moved on no later than the last date of payments to CRH.
- Arrange initial transport of Service Users to accommodation or any relocation as required.
- Ensure welfare, health and safety of Service Users are maintained at all times.
- Complete regular welfare checks of every Service User.
- Manage duty roster for the welfare team of employees and subcontractors.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to arrange interventions.
- Effect appropriate maintenance of the site’s accommodation and communal areas.
- Conduct monthly inspections and report defects.
- Ensure all items within property are replaced/repaired as required in line with inventory procedure.
- Make recommendations to the site manager regarding any relocations of Service Users and termination of properties to provide more efficient use of portfolio/void management.
- Ensure properties are maintained according to Health and Safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Maintain stores in line with purchasing procedure.
- Collaborate with line manager, team members and other stakeholders; attend meetings as required.
- Support team members and provide on‑job training.
- Provide cover for other staff as agreed by line manager.
- Lead site welfare team members on duty each shift, ensuring correct performance of duties.
- Provide 24‑hour availability during any significant emergency.
- Respond to communications (emails/messages/calls) promptly.
- Keep records up‑to‑date according to company policies and procedures.
- Produce and record appropriate property certification documentation.
- Liaise with Service Users, line manager, team members and other staff.
- Attend local stakeholder meetings as required.
- Liaise with local support agencies.
- Monitor own work levels, progress and development; undertake core learning and development programmes.
- Undertake relevant learning according to agreed Personal Development Plan.
- Ensure personal data is kept securely and not disclosed without authorization.
- Ensure understanding of the legislation of the contract.
- Any other duties within the scope of responsibility and ability, inclusive of supporting local company projects.
