We’re looking for a commercially-savvy strategic thinker and relationship builder to help us grow in new sectors. You might have deep roots in energy, e-commerce, health, retail, or beyond – whatever your focus, you’ll lead the charge into untapped opportunities, shaping our go-to-market approach and creating momentum where it matters. This is more than just business development. You’ll be a sector lead, door-opener, and trusted guide, helping organisations discover what’s possible with the right technology and the right team behind them.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Identify Opportunities: Map out the landscape in your chosen sector. Use tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator or your own network to find high-potential prospects and understand where our services can deliver real impact.
- Engage with Purpose: Craft thoughtful, personalised outreach – smart messaging, short videos, fresh angles. You’ll be the first person they meet from ClearSky – and you’ll make it count.
- Understand & Qualify: Get under the skin of the problems. Uncover goals, challenges, and gaps. Connect what they need to what we do.
- Shape Strategy: Collaborate with our commercial and delivery teams to develop tailored go-to-market plans, account strategies, and winning proposals.
- Support Events & Engagements: Bring the right people to the table – whether it’s a private roundtable, an invite-only dinner, or a casual coffee. Help move conversations forward.
- Keep the Radar On: Keep HubSpot updated with your progress. Maintain a healthy, transparent pipeline and contribute to accurate forecasting.
What You Bring:
- Experience in business development, pre-sales, or strategic partnerships – ideally in tech, software, or consultancy.
- A strong grasp of at least one industry sector – Energy, E-commerce, Retail, Sustainability, Travel, Public Sector, etc.
- Clear, confident communication skills – written, spoken, and at senior level.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and prospecting platforms.
- A track record of generating opportunities and driving them forward.
- Independent, curious, and self-motivated – you don’t wait for permission.
- Bonus points if you’ve used video outreach, ABM tactics, or creative campaign strategies.
