We are actively seeking a high performing Data Scientist to play a key role in a new squad responsible for ensuring our users are seeing the right information at the right time.
What you will be doing:
- You will be reporting to the Head of Data Based Signals and working alongside members of other squads - e.g. Upstream, GTM & Platform.
- You will conduct analytical projects to understand the effectiveness of existing Signals, evaluate eligibility of proposed changes or additions to Signals, and user coverage of existing and proposed new Signals.
- You will be able to propose improvements to existing or entirely new Signals in order to maximise the value our data can bring to the user experience.
- You will help design the ranking methodology that will decide which Signals, when and where, to show to each user.
- As Signal design and ranking become more sophisticated, you will be involved in developing the ML models expected to be needed to power these.
Skills we'd love you to have:
- Excellent SQL and Excel skills.
- Good experience with data modelling and relational database structure and design.
- Good experience of one or more of R, Python, SAS or equivalent.
- Awareness, or ideally, some experience, with ML processes, algorithms & techniques.
- Excellent quantitative and numerical skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritise your own workload.
- Good collaboration & communication skills - DaBS is a small squad and we need to work well with others to achieve our objectives.
