The ClearScore Commercial Team is responsible for the monetisation of the ClearScore platform through B2B partnerships with over 50 of the biggest and innovative financial service providers in the UK. ClearScore is searching for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our incredible team, leading the loans.
The Commercial Manager will be a driver of revenue performance for our business and responsible for the management and monetisation of our lender partnerships. This is a highly cross-functional, fast-paced role where you are expected to problem solve, bring your ideas to the table and collaborate with teams across disciplines to capitalise on commercial opportunities. As well as acting as the voice of the partner and providing market expertise to internal and external stakeholders, you will bring an analytical mind, an entrepreneurial attitude, a consultative approach and a lot of proactivity.

The Commercial Manager will support the Head of Commercial Performance through the management of a pipeline of projects and strategic partnerships within our core verticals.
What will you do:
- Run the Loans vertical for the UK business and ensure we meet the budget plan for the year.
- Accountable for all performance metrics against loans partnerships and increasing ClearScore's Share of Wallet.
- Create and drive commercial strategy across the vertical to help ClearScore maintain competitiveness over other aggregators in the market, and maintain our position as our partner's no.1 choice for acquisition.
- Working closely with the product team and partners on continuous optimisation of the product and the conversion funnel, you will manage commercial relationships with existing partners, as well as negotiate deals with new partners.
- You will also dive deep into our platform's rich data to derive key business and new initiative insights, produce reports and spot trends, converting them into actions that help our users and partners.
- Responsible for the performance and day-to-day management of 2 commercial executive team members who will support you across the management of the vertical.
You're a fit for the role if you present most of the following:
- At least 5 years of work experience with a good track record at work and in academia.
- Previous experience in a commercial role within the financial services is desirable but not mandatory.
- Passion and enthusiasm for the problems we are solving, and an ability to use creativity and initiative in pursuit of these goals.
- Being comfortable with ambiguity and being ready to take on a lot of responsibility quickly.
- Experience with data-driven decision making is highly beneficial.
- Previous work experience in any of the following would be interesting: Management Consulting, a relationship-focused client-facing environment such as partner/account management, relevant work in a consumer finance, fintech or B2B tech company.
