ClearScore is searching for a talented Legal Counsel on a permanent basis. You will be joining our legal team, based in London, to support ClearScore’s continued growth across the UK, South Africa, Australia, Canada and New Zealand, and across each of its business units (ClearScore, DriveScore and D•One). You will join the legal team and lead on commercial advice and negotiation, and have the opportunity to advise on more strategic projects, including across ClearScore’s Open Banking products.
What will you do:
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including strategic partnerships and supplier contracts.
- Advise on commercial legal issues and risks.
- Work closely with business units to maintain and update template documents, deliver legal training and advise on projects and products as they arise.
- Contribute to legal operational projects to improve the efficiency of the Legal team; mentor junior members of the Legal team.
- Work closely with, and provide legal support for key teams, including Commercial, New Ventures, and Marketing.
You’re a fit for the role if you present most of the following:
- Solicitor with 2-4+ years PQE, qualified in England and Wales.
- Training within a reputable law firm, ideally with relevant experience as an in-house counsel within a tech company.
- Self-starter and team player, that can work autonomously to see a project to its conclusion, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- A solutions-oriented, dependable counsel with a commercial mindset, that sees themselves as a partner to the business.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with high curiosity and desire to learn.
