We are looking for a frontend focused Tech Lead that wants to help both make the home buyer process better and build a great frontend engineering team. Your role will be to work closely with other front-end developers and the broader engineering organisation to deliver a smooth and seamless user experience for Acre. You will be highly motivated, be technology agnostic, and be proud of the work you produce. Our team believes in user-centric product design, and you will be building an iconic, beautiful system unlike anything in the market today.
What you will be doing
As a key role within the engineering team you will be responsible for the design, implementation and testing of the user interface that empowers consumers, brokers and operational functions to efficiently manage the mortgage research and application process. You will be expected to write reusable, testable and efficient code that produces a seamless and beautiful user experience. During our software development life cycle, you will be expected to work with the business as a whole, converting business requirements into development tasks as well as mentoring other team members. Additionally, as a Tech Lead, you'll be responsible for helping promote and ensure software engineering best practices and a culture of quality across the Frontend Development team and codebase. In this role, you will be managing a team of frontend engineers, with the opportunity to grow and shape that leadership responsibility over time.
Skills We'd Love You To Have
- Passionate about software engineering and about delivering a quality product.
- Enjoy creating beautiful and enjoyable user interfaces that delight users.
- Have an excellent understanding and experience with client-side JavaScript (Typescript), React, and of course CSS and HTML.
- Committed to using automated testing platforms and unit tests to deliver readable, maintainable code.
- Proficient with issue management, code versioning, continuous integration and deployment tools.
