Role
In this Technical Product Manager role you will join a workstream focused on building an AI / Agentic capability on Azure using Python. The team will shape and deliver an early solution in partnership with the business, establishing the technical foundations, architecture, and product direction for the wider programme. The Technical Product Manager will need a strong technical understanding and the ability to work hand-in-hand with the business to shape features and outcomes. You will be comfortable working in an early-stage, high-ambiguity product environment, where you will partner with the Tech Lead and Architecture to turn those outcomes into a working AI / agentic solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product backlog; shape features, priorities, and outcomes
- Partner with the business to understand the problem space and define the solution
- Work with the Tech Lead and architecture to shape initial solutions
- Translate between business language and technical detail
- Track progress against outcomes; communicate clearly to stakeholders
- Make pragmatic scope calls in an early, evolving product
Required Skills
- Comfortable discussing design with engineers
- Literacy in AI / agentic systems and their product trade-offs
- Experience shaping solutions with business stakeholders
- Skilled at framing features and outcomes in early-stage delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Desirable Experience
- Prior work in UK energy / utilities
- Hands-on with AI tooling (LLMs, agentic frameworks) as a practitioner
- Background in data, engineering, or architecture before moving into product
- Consulting / client-embedded delivery experience
