Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled SDET (Quality Cloud Engineer). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and improving our customers’ complex technology landscape, which includes a mix of modern and legacy systems. This role requires a strong background in testing, an ability to build new frameworks, and exceptional skills in navigating and coordinating between multiple services, platforms, and business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain testing frameworks for a range of technologies including Java, Docker, and Python.
  2. Lead the testing process for our integration platform, ensuring high reliability and performance.
  3. Work closely with different teams and business units to understand and align with diverse technology stacks and goals.
  4. Manage messaging and integration using Kafka, and work with legacy systems like TeamCity.
  5. Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines, primarily using GitHub Actions.
  6. Ensure compliance and optimal performance in our AWS hosted environment.
  7. Document and report test results, and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Strong programming skills in one or more languages, such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  2. Substantial experience with contract testing.
  3. Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar tools.
  4. Proficiency in building and maintaining test automation scripts for web, mobile, and/or API testing.
  5. Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Git).
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  7. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
