About Us: ClearRoute is an engineering consultancy bridging Quality Engineering, Cloud Platforms and Developer Experience. We help enterprises reliably bring high-impact digital products to market faster, cheaper, and safer, working with technology leaders facing complex business challenges. We take as much pride in our people, culture and work-life balance as we do in making better software. Collaborative, entrepreneurial and dedicated to problem solving, we bring the step change our customers need to sustain innovation. Our values challenge us to do the best we can for ClearRoute, our customers and most importantly our team.

Role: ClearRoute is seeking a New Business Sales Director UK & Ireland to lead enterprise new-logo acquisition across the UK & Ireland. This role is responsible for originating, shaping, and closing platform-engineering, cloud, data, quality engineering, and AI‐led transformation engagements with large enterprises. This is a senior, hands‐on hunting role, focused on opening new strategic accounts, building C‐suite relationships, and converting complex client challenges into high-value, long‐term partnerships. You will work closely with presales, platform engineering leadership, and delivery teams to position ClearRoute as a trusted transformation partner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own new‐logo acquisition across UKI enterprise accounts (typically Ā£500k–£5m+ deals).
  • Build and maintain a robust enterprise pipeline, converting early‐stage conversations into qualified, winnable opportunities.
  • Lead end‐to‐end sales cycles: discovery, qualification (e.g. MEDDPIC), solution shaping, commercial negotiation, and close.
  • Drive revenue growth aligned to ClearRoute's strategic focus areas: Platform Engineering (DevSecOps, Quality Engineering, Developer Experience and Cloud), AI‐enabled SDLC, Route‐to‐Live (RTL) optimisation.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Establish trusted relationships with C‐suite and senior technology leaders (CIO, CTO, Heads of Engineering, Platform, and Transformation).
  • Facilitate executive‐level conversations focused on business outcomes, delivery risk reduction, speed‐to‐market, and engineering effectiveness.
  • Represent ClearRoute credibly in senior forums, pitches, workshops, and industry events.

Deal Shaping & Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Presales, Platform Engineering Directors, and Delivery Leadership to shape compelling, outcome‐led propositions.
  • Translate complex client problems into clear value cases, commercial models, and Statements of Work.
  • Contribute to account strategy, deal governance, and pricing decisions.

Market Presence & Brand Contribution

  • Act as an ambassador for ClearRoute in the UK market.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, events, partnerships, and go‐to‐market initiatives.
  • Provide market feedback to leadership on buyer behaviour, competitor activity, and emerging demand.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record of winning new enterprise logos within technology services, advisory/consulting, or digital engineering firms.
  • Experience selling complex, multi‐stakeholder services engagements.
  • Strong understanding of modern software delivery, platform engineering, cloud, data, DevOps, and quality engineering.
  • Experience positioning AI solutions.

Skills & Attributes

  • Commercially sharp with strong deal‐shaping and negotiation skills.
  • Credible and confident with senior technology and business leaders.
  • Structured approach to qualification and pipeline management.
  • Highly collaborative and able to work seamlessly across sales, presales, and delivery.
  • Self‐starting, resilient, and motivated by building something meaningful rather than following a script.

Why Join ClearRoute?

  • Work with some of the largest and most complex enterprises in the UK and globally.
  • Sell genuinely differentiated offerings built around Platform Engineering, Quality Cloud Engineering, and AI‐enabled software delivery.
  • Join a fast‐growing consultancy with strong momentum, ambitious plans, and a clear point of view.
  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission, plus the opportunity to grow into broader leadership roles as the business scales.
  • Pension – Healthcare – Profit Share – EV Company Car Scheme.
  • Personal Development Budget.
  • 25 days Holiday plus usual bank holidays.

But Why Really Join ClearRoute?

The best sales careers are built at the intersection of three things: A market that's exploding, a company that's genuinely winning, and timing that puts you early, not late, to the opportunity. ClearRoute sits right at that intersection. Platform engineering, cloud, quality engineering, and AI‐enabled software delivery are becoming board‐level priorities. ClearRoute isn't trying to break into that space, we're already trusted by some of the world's largest banks, retailers, and travel brands, delivering complex, high‐impact transformation programmes.

And critically, this role gives you something rare: the chance to be one of the first on the ground in the UK, with a proven value proposition, clear differentiation, strong customer references, and leadership that knows how to win, without layers of sales already ahead of you. The results speak for themselves: Year 1: £7m revenue, Year 2: £13m revenue, Year 3: £20m revenue, 180+ people globally across the UK, US, India, Bulgaria, and Australia.

This is not a "build it from scratch and hope" role. It's a chance to step into a business with momentum, credibility, and a clear right to win, and to shape the next phase of growth in a meaningful way. Opportunities like this don't come around often. If you're looking for a role where timing, market, and ambition align, this could be it.

At ClearRoute, we believe diverse perspectives lead to better outcomes, and inclusion creates the conditions for everyone to thrive. We are proud to have built a family friendly working environment and have many employees who have caring responsibilities alongside work. We welcome applications from people who require flexibility and will be happy to discuss needs on an individual basis.

We are committed to fostering a culture where all team members feel respected, supported, and empowered to do their best work. We celebrate individuality and our differences and understand that some differences may mean that you require changes made to the interview process. We are happy to cater to your needs to make the interview accessible, if this is something you require please let us know by emailing us at join@clearroute.io.
