Role
As Engineering Director, you will operate as a strategic advisor, engineering leader, and trusted partner to our clients, leading discovery and inception phases to define problem spaces, shape vision, and create measurable business outcomes. You will bring a consultative, outcome driven mindset, combining deep technical expertise with commercial awareness to influence senior stakeholders, unlock value, and drive transformation at scale. Acting as both a thought leader and hands-on engineering leader, you will design and implement technical strategies that enhance delivery capability across the Route to Live while guiding organisations in adopting modern engineering practices across quality, cloud, platform, and developer experience. Responsibilities
- Technical Excellence
- Provide technical leadership across complex programs of work, ensuring architectural integrity and alignment with best practices.
- Drive adoption of Quality Cloud Engineering across client engagements using modern software delivery practices including CI/CD, cloud platforms, and quality engineering.
- Lead technical direction for large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Embed AI and GenAI capabilities into engineering solutions, including designing and integrating AI-driven features, automation, and decisioning systems where appropriate.
- Provide technical leadership on AI-enabled architectures, including LLM integration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and intelligent workflows within enterprise systems.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g. code generation, test generation, copilots) to improve developer productivity and software quality.
- Champion and implement modern engineering practices including test automation, continuous delivery, and cloud-native architectures.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
- Knowledge of quality engineering practices including test automation and continuous testing.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- Understanding of developer experience optimisation and tooling.

- Lead end-to-end program delivery, ensuring successful outcomes through the Route to Live.
- Build high-performing engineering teams through mentorship and technical guidance.
