About Us:

We are an engineering consultancy bridging Quality Engineering, Cloud Platforms, and Developer Experience.

Our values challenge us to do the best we can for ClearRoute, our customers, and most importantly our team. We want to create a collaborative team to help build ClearRoute. This is an opportunity for you to build a consultancy from the ground up, use your voice to drive change, and help transform organisations and problem domains.

Role:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (Quality Cloud Engineer) who wants to join and grow a high-performing team which aims to help create a world-class engineering capability. The technologies used will be wide-ranging and varied. You will be energetic to learn and pick up new technologies and work across different clients and sectors. In this role, we will be bringing together the traditional responsibilities across Quality Engineering, DevOps, and Cloud Engineering.

Working alongside our clients, your role and responsibilities as a DevOps Engineer (Quality Cloud Engineer) will focus on:

  1. Review & Measure – Ability to understand the current landscape and provide recommendations to provide the greatest business value return.
  2. Implement & Enable – Implement new techniques and processes to improve engineering capability in the Route to Live. Teach our clients through the process and to own once it’s been implemented.
  3. Augment & Accelerate – Deliver engineering solutions across QCE areas, enhancing existing engineering within our clients whilst providing QCE insights to improve Route to Live.

Experience

We are looking for people who come from a DevOps background who have great passion, personal and technical skill. Curiosity, empathy, and drive are all qualities we value. However, we look for culture add, not always culture fit. Experience in software engineering and one or more of our core capabilities is essential; no one will tick all the boxes, but if you’ve done some work in these areas, we could be a good match. Our goal will be to help cross-train and develop your skills.

You will also have:

  • Proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer.
  • In-depth knowledge of GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, etc.).
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
  • Experience implementing and managing Kubernetes clusters for deploying, scaling, and managing containerised applications.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, AgroCD.
  • Experience with Database technologies like PostgreSQL and Cloud SQL.
