About the Role: Many of our customers are struggling with their Route to Live for their AI initiatives; they may have successfully built models, but struggle to package and deploy them to production, or they see the opportunities presented with the new iteration of foundation models but struggle to build the platforms to leverage these transformational tools. To help our customers deliver their AI outcomes, we are seeking an experienced and visionary AI Engineering Lead to help our customers drive their AI strategy, oversee the development of cutting-edge AI solutions, and lead teams of talented engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and software engineering, along with leadership experience in managing AI-driven projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Define and execute the AI roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and be a champion for experiment-based, iterative AI product development.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow teams of AI engineers and software developers working with our client's data scientists and domain experts.
  • AI Development: Architect, develop, and deploy scalable AI platforms and products.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, domain experts and stakeholders to integrate AI into products and services.
  • Innovation & Research: Stay updated on the latest AI trends, tools, and best practices to drive innovation.
  • Code Review & Quality Assurance: Maintain our high coding standards and ensure the reliability and performance of our clients' AI platforms.
  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring technical alignment with business goals and high levels of satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other ML frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps.
  • Experience with data engineering, big data technologies, and model optimisation.
  • Familiarity with NLP, computer vision, or reinforcement learning is a plus.
