Clearly Education is looking for Qualified and Unqualified Nursery Nurses in Southend to work in our Early Years settings. We are looking for enthusiastic and creative Nursery Assistants to join our team to complete a variety of bookings. We offer flexible working hours; therefore, you will have the option of choosing the days and hours you wish to work. Clearly, Education consultants have all come from an educational background; therefore, we are well placed to support our Early Years and other educational settings with their short‑ and long‑term supply needs.

Responsibilities

  • Being proactive whilst using your initiative throughout the working day to support the staff team.
  • Being a team player.
  • Caring for the children's well‑being.
  • Safeguarding the children and having their best interests at heart.
  • Educating the children in a play‑based environment.
  • Fully engaging as a nursery assistant and interacting with the children whilst supporting their individual needs.
  • Being enthusiastic towards the position and actively interacting with the children.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • You are passionate about working with children and show real enthusiasm towards the job role.
  • You are proactive and can use your own initiative, but are confident enough to ask questions when needed.
  • You are confident at the children's level and engaging in their play and supporting their learning.
  • You have an awareness or are willing to understand and follow the ethos of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • You adhere and follow all policies and procedures set out by Clearly Education and our Early Years settings, including those that involve safeguarding children.

All our nursery assistants need to have a clear understanding of Safeguarding children, Prevent, Online safety and Female Genital Mutilation or be willing to complete the training prior to starting work. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required for all nursery assistants. We are APSCo Compliance+ accredited, meaning we go beyond statutory safeguarding standards and instead meet the gold standard within the industry.
