We are expanding our team, and are therefore looking for a number of operators to join our World Class Operator programme. The WCO programme is all about developing people through their career in production to become world class in two years (or sooner depending on your current skills and experience level!). The roles are shift based and permanent.
The main responsibilities of this role will involve the operation of machinery whilst driving activity to improve and maintain performance standards, and leading continuous improvement through all activities. The successful candidate will be expected to fulfil a ‘non-core role’ in order to integrate functional requirements with operations requirements, and will be a role model to others. We expect our world class operators to be accountable for the optimum performance of their designated area, with the overall goal being to produce quality soft drinks safely, within costs, delivering customer satisfaction within legal and company guidelines.
An example of some of the duties involved in the role are:
- Comply with company and legal requirements including health and safety, food safety etc
- Ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are met
- Accountable for day to day performance of own area
- Ensure team and individual contribution to factory targets
- Lead improvement activities
- Undertake rudimentary maintenance tasks
- Organise team activities to support the achievement of targets, and provide feedback to individuals and team on objectives and progress
- Be the primary liaison with the leadership team regarding team performance and KPI target progression
- Provide support and guidance for the development of others as required

- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively as well as being able to work as a team
- Ability and desire to progress to Certificate level development opportunities (i.e. NVQ 3 or equivalent)
