An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Laboratory Manager to join one of our longstanding global healthcare clients, supporting their R&D Services team within a laboratory environment in Scotland. This is a 12-month contract, starting ASAP (latest mid-April), where you will take ownership of end-to-end laboratory operations, ensuring safety, compliance and efficient day-to-day workflows.

The Requirements:
- Experience managing laboratory operations within an R&D or regulated environment
- Strong knowledge of GLP, SHE and laboratory compliance standards
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining compliance documentation
- Experience managing lab inventory, equipment and facilities coordination
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience mentoring or supervising team members
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
The Role:
- Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring safe and efficient workflows
- Manage lab access, space utilisation and operational processes
- Ensure compliance with GLP, SHE and internal policies
- Maintain audit readiness through regular checks and documentation control
- Manage inventory of consumables, reagents and PPE
- Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration and facility coordination
- Act as the key point of contact between scientific teams, facilities and vendors
- Lead safety processes, incident reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support and mentor laboratory supervisors and team members
- Facilitate communication across teams and manage operational issues
