Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

Contract: 6-month temporary contract

Start Date: Immediate start preferred

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Clinical Sample Co-ordinator / Technician to manage and document the storage, inventory, and traceability of clinical samples housed in ultra-low temperature freezer environments. This is a hands-on, site-based role within a regulated CL3 laboratory environment.

You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate storage, tracking and reconciliation of clinical samples, supporting a laboratory relocation project and freezer inventory review.

The Requirements:

  • BSc (or equivalent) in Life Sciences or related field
  • 1-2 years' experience working with clinical samples or biobanking
  • Experience working to GLP/GCP standards
  • Strong Excel and data accuracy skills
  • Proven aseptic technique and safe specimen handling
  • Ability to work in cold-room / -80°C environments
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites

The Role:

  • Manage receipt, storage, and accessioning of clinical samples
  • Maintain accurate inventory records (Excel-based system)
  • Ensure full chain-of-custody and audit trail documentation
  • Conduct reconciliation and investigate discrepancies
  • Support freezer inventory completion ahead of laboratory relocation
  • Work within -80°C freezer environments and CL3 laboratories
  • Liaise with laboratory, QA and compliance teams
  • Travel between Stirling and Eurocentral sites as required
