We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Clinical Sample Co-ordinator / Technician to manage and document the storage, inventory, and traceability of clinical samples housed in ultra-low temperature freezer environments. This is a hands-on, site-based role within a regulated CL3 laboratory environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate storage, tracking and reconciliation of clinical samples, supporting a laboratory relocation project and freezer inventory review.
The Requirements:
- BSc (or equivalent) in Life Sciences or related field
- 1-2 years' experience working with clinical samples or biobanking
- Experience working to GLP/GCP standards
- Strong Excel and data accuracy skills
- Proven aseptic technique and safe specimen handling
- Ability to work in cold-room / -80°C environments
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
The Role:
- Manage receipt, storage, and accessioning of clinical samples
- Maintain accurate inventory records (Excel-based system)
- Ensure full chain-of-custody and audit trail documentation
- Conduct reconciliation and investigate discrepancies
- Support freezer inventory completion ahead of laboratory relocation
- Work within -80°C freezer environments and CL3 laboratories
- Liaise with laboratory, QA and compliance teams
- Travel between Stirling and Eurocentral sites as required
6-month temporary contract. Fully site-based role. Immediate start preferred.
