An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research and Development Scientist to join one of our longstanding global healthcare clients at their Motherwell site. Working within the R&D team, you will lead complex experimental programmes, provide technical leadership and contribute to the development of next-generation diagnostic products.

The Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline
- Significant industry laboratory experience
- Strong project planning and scientific data analysis experience
- Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills
- Ability to lead complex workstreams independently
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior scientists
- Knowledge of GLP, GMP and GDP environments
The Role:
- Lead complex experimental programmes from concept through to design transfer
- Plan and coordinate technical workstreams
- Analyse complex scientific data and provide recommendations
- Prepare and review technical documentation
- Present findings to internal stakeholders
- Support product development and design transfer activities
- Mentor junior scientists and provide technical guidance
- Drive continuous improvement and laboratory excellence
