Job Title: In-House Chef / Cook Location: Exeter Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:30am – 2:00pm (approximate) Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Role We are seeking a friendly and self-motivated In-House Chef / Cook to run our small in-house kitchen at our busy IT and Telecoms company in Exeter. This is a sole-charge role ideal for someone who enjoys creating fresh, simple meals for a team-oriented office environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve a basic breakfast offering (e.g. baps, rolls, toast) between 08:00 – 08:45. Provide a fresh, tasty lunch service for 20-30 covers from 12:00 – 13:45. Plan and create weekly menus with input into food choices and themes. Manage kitchen stock, place ingredient orders, and maintain budget awareness. Maintain a clean, hygienic and compliant kitchen at all times, including regular cleaning schedules. Ensure all food is prepared and served in accordance with food hygiene standards. Offer a friendly and professional service to staff and guests. Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen or catering role. Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain). Ability to manage a kitchen independently. Strong time management and organisational skills. Creative, flexible approach to simple menu planning. A warm and approachable personality.
