An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Finance Manager to join one of our longstanding clients, a dedicated business based in Brighton.

The Requirements:

  • A recognised professional qualification in accountancy
  • Proficiency in IT with strong Excel skills and the capacity to learn new financial software
  • High levels of numeracy and literacy, with the ability to interpret financial data accurately
  • Proactive in initiating and leading process or systems improvements
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational ability to manage deadlines and contribute to ad-hoc projects
  • Confident in liaising with individuals at all levels internally and externally

The Role:

  • Provide key operational support to the Finance Manager and Head of Finance in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance function
  • Supervise and support a team of four, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Manage daily accounting processes including payroll oversight (via external providers)
  • Review and authorise supplier invoices, payment runs and reconciliations
  • Take responsibility for control account reconciliations across balance sheet, payroll, and fees
  • Support monthly production of management information, including KPIs
  • Assist with budgeting processes and monthly forecast updates
