The Requirements:
- A recognised professional qualification in accountancy
- Proficiency in IT with strong Excel skills and the capacity to learn new financial software
- High levels of numeracy and literacy, with the ability to interpret financial data accurately
- Proactive in initiating and leading process or systems improvements
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong organisational ability to manage deadlines and contribute to ad-hoc projects
- Confident in liaising with individuals at all levels internally and externally
The Role:
- Provide key operational support to the Finance Manager and Head of Finance in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance function
- Supervise and support a team of four, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
- Manage daily accounting processes including payroll oversight (via external providers)
- Review and authorise supplier invoices, payment runs and reconciliations
- Take responsibility for control account reconciliations across balance sheet, payroll, and fees
- Support monthly production of management information, including KPIs
- Assist with budgeting processes and monthly forecast updates
