Role: R&D Scientist
Location: Motherwell, Onsite
Hours: Full-time
Contract: 12 months
Pay: £14.35 - £16.92 per hour
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an R&D Scientist to join one of our longstanding clients, a leading global healthcare organisation, in Motherwell.
This is a hands-on laboratory role supporting the research and development of innovative diagnostic technologies, with responsibility for experimental work, data analysis and technical documentation.

The Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline
- Relevant industry experience
- Knowledge of diagnostic immunoassay technology
- Strong laboratory and experimental skills
- Good computer literacy and data analysis capabilities
- Excellent attention to detail and technical documentation skills
- Experience with particle-based immunoassays, fluorescent detection or whole-blood assays advantageous
- GMP, GLP, GDP or biohazard environment experience desirable Job Advert - Scientist
The Role:
- Plan, conduct and analyse laboratory experiments
- Support multiple technical workstreams and project milestones
- Follow and improve complex experimental protocols
- Analyse results and provide clear conclusions and recommendations
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and technical documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes and methods
