An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver, Roll-on /Roll-Off, to join one of our longstanding clients, a busy and established operation based in Lewes. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity offering consistent Monday-to-Friday hours, an immediate start and overtime availability.
You will operate a Roll-On/Roll-Off vehicle with a hydraulic hook-loader system, collecting and delivering large containers between customer sites, transfer stations and recycling facilities.

The Requirements:
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 Category C licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification/card
- Valid Digital Tachograph card
- Previous Roll-On/Roll-Off, hook-loader or skip vehicle experience is highly desirable
- Relevant HGV Class 2 driving experience will also be considered
- Good understanding of UK driving regulations
- Knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong commitment to health and safety
The Role:
- Drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally
- Collect, transport and deliver RoRo containers
- Operate the vehicle's hydraulic hook-loader system to load and unload containers
- Ensure containers are correctly positioned and secured for transportation
- Sheeting containers where required
- Complete daily vehicle safety and defect checks
- Report vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly
- Complete relevant collection and delivery paperwork
- Maintain compliance with Drivers' Hours, Working Time Regulations and road safety legislation
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers and site personnel
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures
