Role: Warehouse / Distribution Operative

Location: Burgess Hill (must have a UK Driving License & vehicle due to remote location)

AM Shift (x3 vacancies): Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm (30-minute lunch break)

AM Pay Rate: £15.47 per hour PAYE basic (excluding holiday pay)

PM Shift (x3 vacancy): Monday - Friday, 1:00pm - 9:00pm (30-minute lunch break)

PM Pay Rate: £17.01 per hour PAYE basic (excluding holiday pay)

Contract: 3-month assignment - Inside IR35

Initial 3-month probation period with the opportunity for extension based on performance. 1-week notice period.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse / Distribution Operative to join one of our longstanding clients, an industry-leading healthcare supply chain organisation supporting both NHS and private healthcare providers, based in Burgess Hill.

The Requirements:

  • UK Driving License and own transport due to remote location - There is NO public transport available to site
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Physically fit and capable of manual warehouse duties
  • Patient-focused mindset with the ability to work with urgency at all times
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable
  • Basic IT skills essential
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required
  • Reliable method of transport essential due to limited public transport links
  • SAP WM/EWM experience desirable
  • Forklift licence desirable
  • IATA or logistics qualification advantageous

The Role:

  • Accurately pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders
  • Process urgent, cross-docked, and backordered items efficiently
  • Support goods receipt and storage activities, including temperature-controlled products
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of stock throughout the warehouse
  • Update warehouse systems and support inventory checks
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across distribution, customer service, and quality functions
  • Ensure customer and patient needs remain at the centre of all activities
  • Meet operational KPIs whilst maintaining quality and compliance standards
