Clearfield Recruitment are hiring for the following role: Position: Tractor Driver Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales Type: Ongoing, Full-time Working Hours: 07:30 – 16:00, minimum 8 hours paid Hourly Rate: £21 – £22 per hour Overview: We are seeking an experienced Tractor Driver to join our construction and civil engineering team in Rhondda Cynon Taf. The role involves operating heavy equipment and machinery to support various construction and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities: Operate and maneuver tractors and related equipment at construction sites to perform tasks such as excavation, grading, and material transport. Perform routine maintenance checks and basic repairs on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery and handling construction materials. Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring they are transported and distributed effectively on-site. Collaborate with construction crews and supervisors to ensure project timelines are met efficiently. Requirements: Proven experience as a Tractor Driver or heavy equipment operator in the construction or civil engineering industry. Possession of a valid CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) or NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) ticket for tractor operation. Proficiency in operating tractors and related heavy machinery. Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and regulations. Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging terrains. Flexibility in work schedule and readiness to work additional hours as required.
