Forklift Operator (Counterbalance)
Location: Great Blakenham, Ipswich
Pay: £13.98 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
The Role
We are currently recruiting an experienced Forklift Operator for a long-term opportunity based in Great Blakenham, Ipswich. This role involves operating a counterbalance forklift for the majority of the shift within a busy recycling/industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift throughout the shift
- Load and unload baled and palletised materials efficiently
- Weigh, prepare, and process materials through the plant
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Report maintenance issues and any material contamination promptly
- Work closely with the Weighbridge team to manage inbound and outbound materials
What We are Looking For
- Must be a good forklift driver
- Proven forklift operating experience
- Valid FLT Counterbalance certificate (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Previous assembly or electronics experience is desirable but not essential
- Willingness to commit to a long-term / temp-to-perm opportunity
