Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing main contractor based in Petersfield, Hampshire, delivering high-quality fit out, refurbishment and cut & carve projects across London and South East.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with clients, site teams and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial aspects of multiple fit out, refurbishment and cut & carve projects.
  • Prepare cost plans, budgets, valuations and financial reports.
  • Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
  • Negotiate subcontract agreements and manage contractual obligations.
  • Prepare applications for payment, variations and final accounts.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts and commercial performance.
  • Produce monthly CVRs and commercial reports.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

To be considered, you should have

  • Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step up.
  • A strong background delivering fit out, refurbishment and cut & carve projects.
  • Experience working for a main contractor.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
