Location: Cambridge Salary: £34000 - £40000 per annum Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full Time The Role We are seeking a Plumber & Heating Engineer to take responsibility for planning and carrying out plumbing, heating, and associated maintenance works across a diverse property portfolio in and around Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a conscientious and skilled professional who enjoys problem solving and takes pride in maintaining high standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the effective maintenance and upkeep of a range of properties. Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, you will be responsible for all plumbing and heating related requirements across the estate. Duties will include monitoring and responding to maintenance requests with external contractors, attending urgent repair works, participating in an agreed emergency call out rota, and supporting the wider objectives of the Estates department. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned and reactive plumbing and heating maintenance. * Diagnose and repair faults in domestic plumbing and heating systems. * Undertake installation, servicing, and maintenance works as required. * Monitor and respond to maintenance requests. * Liaise with and oversee specialist contractors when required. * Respond to emergency and urgent maintenance issues. * Participate in an agreed out of hours emergency call out rota. Candidate Requirements Essential * NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plumbing and Heating. * Experience working with domestic plumbing systems. * Ability to diagnose and resolve plumbing and heating faults.
