Overview: A respected regional main contractor is seeking a driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. With a strong pipeline of residential and commercial projects ranging from £2m to £20m in value, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic, supportive environment that prioritises progression and hands-on experience. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in the preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and final accounts * Work closely with Project and Site Managers to track project costs and profitability * Support the procurement of sub-contractors, including tender analysis and contract preparation * Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, assess work completed, and ensure alignment with budget forecasts * Help maintain accurate project documentation, including cost reports, forecasts, and CVRs * Assist with contract administration in accordance with JCT and NEC forms of contract Requirements: * A degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline * 1–3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry * Strong numerical and analytical skills, with good attention to detail * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders * Working knowledge of construction contracts and cost management tools
