To be considered for this role, you must have substantial, hands-on HubSpot experience across areas such as Marketing Hub, CRM, workflows/automation and reporting. Applications from candidates without current, practical HubSpot experience will not be progressed.

We're looking for an experienced MarTech Strategic Lead to help shape how marketing technology is used across ClearCourse. This is an opportunity to sit at the centre of a major Marketing transformation, working across our portfolio of software businesses to understand what our teams need from technology and turn those requirements into a clear, prioritised roadmap for delivery.

This isn't primarily a technical architecture role. We're looking for somebody who can bridge the gap between Marketing, technology and delivery - somebody who understands the commercial requirement, knows what great marketing technology can enable and can turn that into something our technical specialists can build.

About the Role

Reporting to our Head of Marketing Enablement, you'll own the marketing technology requirements and backlog across ClearCourse, working in close partnership with our MarTech Technical Lead. The relationship between the two roles is important. You'll own requirements, prioritisation and delivery management, while the Technical Lead owns the underlying technical roadmap, architecture and implementation. You'll work as peers - challenging one another, balancing what's commercially important against what's technically achievable and ensuring the right things get delivered in the right order.

HubSpot will sit at the heart of the role, so we're looking for somebody with genuine hands-on expertise across the platform rather than someone who has only managed it from a distance.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own and continually prioritise ClearCourse's marketing technology backlog.
  • Gather requirements from Marketing and commercial stakeholders and translate them into clearly defined deliverables.
  • Own the business requirements and strategic direction for HubSpot across automation, lifecycle stages, segmentation, data and reporting.
  • Work alongside the MarTech Technical Lead to turn requirements into delivered solutions.
  • Project-manage delivery, tracking progress, dependencies, risks and priorities.
  • Act as a hands-on HubSpot expert for Marketing teams across ClearCourse.
  • Configure, troubleshoot and demonstrate HubSpot where required.
  • Help drive adoption through training, documentation and best practice.
  • Establish appropriate data-governance standards within HubSpot.
  • Gather and prioritise requirements for wider work-management and campaign-operations tooling.
  • Manage relationships with implementation partners and other MarTech vendors.
  • Clearly communicate progress, risks and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.

The role therefore combines product ownership, MarTech strategy and hands-on platform expertise, rather than sitting purely within any one of those areas.

Requirements

  • Deep, current HubSpot experience is essential.
  • You'll need to be genuinely comfortable working directly within Marketing Hub, CRM, workflows and reporting, alongside the strategic experience to understand how those capabilities should support a complex Marketing organisation.
  • We're looking for:
    • Strong hands-on HubSpot experience across Marketing Hub, CRM, automation/workflows and reporting.
    • Product Owner, Product Management or delivery-lead experience.
    • Experience managing and prioritising a backlog against commercial requirements.
    • A track record of delivering marketing technology transformation programmes.
    • Strong requirements-gathering and stakeholder-management skills.
    • Experience defining requirements around automation, segmentation, lifecycle management and data.
    • Working knowledge of marketing automation and customer journey design.
    • Confidence project-managing technical delivery alongside technical specialists.
    • Experience managing external implementation or technology partners.
    • Exposure to other marketing automation platforms such as Marketo or Braze, work-management platforms such as Monday.com or Asana, and AI/LLM marketing concepts would also be useful, but isn't essential.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Hybrid and flexible working options
  • Private medical cover
  • Health cash plan
  • Life assurance
  • Access to the Calm wellbeing app
  • Perkbox employee benefits platform
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Volunteering days
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Ongoing learning, development, and career progression across the ClearCourse Group
