Senior Marketing Business Partner – Retail

To be considered for this role, you must have significant B2B Saa S marketing experience, including responsibility for translating commercial objectives into marketing strategy and driving measurable growth or demand generation.

Applications without B2B Saa S experience will not be progressed.

We're looking for a commercially minded Senior Marketing Business Partner to take marketing leadership of Clear Course's growing Retail portfolio.

Despite the title, this isn't a conventional Marketing Business Partner position.

You'll effectively operate as the Head of Marketing for our Retail vertical, taking ownership of marketing strategy across nine growing technology brands and working directly with senior commercial leaders to translate their growth objectives into effective marketing plans.

It's a senior, visible and fast-paced role for somebody who understands that great B2B marketing ultimately needs to drive commercial results.

About the Role

Reporting directly to our Marketing Director, you'll own the marketing strategy and campaign calendar across the Retail vertical while leading a small team consisting of a Marketing Manager and Marketing Executive.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across our Retail businesses, understanding their commercial priorities and determining where Marketing can make the greatest difference.

With nine brands and competing priorities, this role requires somebody comfortable making decisions, challenging stakeholders when appropriate and focusing resources where they can generate the strongest commercial return.

You also take a wider Clear Course leadership role around growth and demand generation, using what works across Retail to develop playbooks and approaches that can be adopted elsewhere within the Group.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Own the marketing strategy and campaign calendar across our Retail portfolio.
  • Translate commercial and revenue objectives into clear, measurable marketing plans.
  • Partner directly with senior commercial stakeholders across multiple businesses.
  • Lead the Retail growth and demand generation agenda across pipeline, lead generation and conversion.
  • Work with specialist central teams across PPC, SEO/GEO and Events.
  • Develop growth and demand-generation playbooks that can be adopted across the wider Clear Course Group.
  • Partner with Product teams on positioning, messaging, launches and go-to-market strategy.
  • Manage marketing budgets and prioritise investment across competing brands and opportunities.
  • Lead and develop two direct reports, setting priorities and ensuring activity remains aligned to the wider strategy.

B2B Saa S marketing experience is essential for this position.

Retail technology or Retail Saa S experience would be particularly attractive, but we're also interested in strong B2B Saa S marketers from other sectors who can demonstrate the commercial and product-marketing experience required.

You will ideally bring

  • Strong B2B Saa S marketing experience.
  • A proven growth and demand generation track record, including pipeline, lead generation and conversion.
  • Strong product marketing experience covering positioning, messaging and launches.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to translate business targets into marketing strategy.
  • Confidence working directly with senior commercial leaders and constructively challenging their thinking where appropriate.
  • Experience balancing multiple stakeholders, brands or business units simultaneously.
  • Strong budgeting and prioritisation skills.
  • Previous line-management experience.
  • The ability to get up to speed quickly within a fast-moving environment.

Experience within a multi-brand organisation or agency environment would be particularly useful given the breadth of the portfolio.

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Hybrid and flexible working options
  • Private medical cover
  • Health cash plan
  • Life assurance
  • Access to the Calm wellbeing app
  • Perkbox employee benefits platform
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Volunteering days
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Ongoing learning, development, and career progression across the Clear Course Group
