  • Description
  • Finance Operations Manager — Clear Accept

Before you apply

this role requires direct experience working inside a payment services business: an acquirer, PSP, or payment facilitator.

A financial services or accounting background alone does not meet the brief.

Clear Accept is a regulated UK payment institution in the acquiring space.

We're growing, which means this role is as much about building as it is about running.

There's real scope here to shape how things work, not just maintain them.

Requirements

What you'll own

  • Daily client fund reconciliation and CASS 15 regulatory reporting
  • End-to-end merchant invoicing and acquirer commission reconciliation
  • Month-end close, P&L revenue analysis, and input into forecasting and budget
  • Aged debt, credit control, and billing query resolution
  • Transactional cost monitoring across the merchant portfolio
  • Annual audit lead for the finance business unit
  • A team of three — priorities, performance, and continuity

What we need from you

  • 5+ years in finance operations inside a payments business — acquirer, PSP, or Pay Fac. Broader financial services experience does not substitute for this
  • Hands-on knowledge of CASS 15, client fund safeguarding, and acquirer settlement
  • Familiarity with card scheme fee structures and merchant billing processes
  • Experience managing a finance operations team
  • Proficient in Net Suite or a comparable ERP
  • Strong Excel — pivots, lookups, large-scale data manipulation

Useful but not essential

  • PCI DSS Level 1 environment experience
  • Direct Debit processes and file formats
  • Collaboration with product or tech teams on finance tooling and automation

Benefits

  • 25 days holiday + your birthday off
  • Private medical insurance & health cash plan
  • Life assurance & income protection
