We’re looking for an Implementation Engineer to join Swan Retail, part of the ClearCourse group, based full‑time in our Waterlooville office. This role sits within our Operations team and plays a key part in delivering our EPOS and retail technology solutions to customers. You’ll be involved in everything from hardware set‑up and server configuration through to software installation and supporting both internal teams and external clients during implementations. It’s a hands‑on role where no two days look the same. You’ll be working closely with the wider Operations team, supporting delivery, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring everything is set up correctly for successful go‑lives. There may also be occasional travel to client sites for installations.
We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a genuine interest in technology who is keen to learn and develop within a collaborative team environment.
Key Accountabilities- Complete implementation tasks within agreed timelines and scope
- Configure and set up hardware, including EPOS systems
- Support internal teams with technical and implementation queries
- Support external customers during setup and delivery phases
- Assist with server and software configuration
- Help prepare and configure hardware during staging
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation
- Assist with hardware installations at client sites when required
- Provide support to the Helpdesk team on technical queries
- Work independently where needed while contributing to the wider team
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding ability
- Good technical knowledge of PCs and hardware
- Experience installing and configuring software
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload
- Clear communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- High attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently when required
- Team‑oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
- Adaptable and able to follow client procedures
- Previous experience within an implementation or technical delivery role
- Exposure to retail or hospitality technology environments
- Working knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server environments
- Basic networking knowledge including routers, switches and firewalls
- Experience working with EPOS systems
- Organised and methodical approach to work
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
