About You

You will be joining the NBFI team, an industry segment within the Client Management department as a Senior Account Executive reporting to the Head of NBFI. The NBFI team is challenging Enterprise clients, across a range of industry segments, to think differently about how they currently process payments, manage liquidity and reconcile across currencies and jurisdictions.

You Will Be:

  • Offering unique perspectives on how ClearBank's technology and infrastructure can enhance our NBFI's clients practices.
  • Engaging with client stakeholders across numerous roles and degrees of seniority throughout the sales process.
  • Helping shape the segment's Sales and Product strategy.
  • Building and managing a large pipeline of deals, ensuring continuous progress whilst simultaneously maintaining accurate deal reporting & metrics.
  • Taking responsibility for performance against objectives and accountability for delivering on them.
  • Building strong relationships and work collaboratively with Finance, Product, Marketing, Legal and Onboarding teams (among others).
  • Working closely with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver appropriate market-facing presence and messaging.
  • Helping develop the team through sharing your experience, coaching and support.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Deeply interested in banking and payments being on the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry and company.
  • Proven experience of Payment Sales and/or Relationship Management within the NBFI client segment.
  • A strategic thinker. As a Senior member of the team, you will be expected to help shape our Sales strategy.
  • Strong existing NBFI network and ability to quickly build relationships with stakeholders at all levels within an organisation and be at ease meeting senior C-level executives.
  • Robust knowledge of digital banking solutions such as APIs, along with regulatory and scheme advancements.
  • Familiar with Embedded Finance use cases and how to position these with NBFI brands.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate effective listening, questioning and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor information to your audience and take complex topics and simplify them so they are easy to understand.
  • Demonstrable subject matter expertise as it relates to UK & European payments, Currency payments, and Foreign Exchange.
  • Highly self-motivated and driven, willing to challenge yourself and step outside your comfort zone.
  • Resilient and able to overcome the rejection, setbacks and long sales-cycles that can happen in a sales role.
  • Operates with high standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Adaptable, able to think on your feet and problem solve in real-time as needed.
  • Able to perform under pressure whilst remaining calm.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively, keeping focused on the highest value deliverables.
