Your role includes:

  • Own the Cards Product Strategy: Define and execute the long-term vision for cards at ClearBank.
  • Commercial Focus: Build and manage the Cards P&L for revenue optimization – working with other Product Leads to deliver best-in-class propositions.
  • Lead a cards team: Interact with all operational functions within the bank to provide a coordinated and robust operating model.
  • End-to-End Delivery Ownership: Lead the full product lifecycle from ideation to enhancement.
  • Support our Scheme Management Team: Manage scheme compliance, billing manuals, interchange, and mandates.
  • Authorisation & Transaction Flows: Oversee customer journey for authentication and transaction authorisation.
  • Provide input and support: To Commercial teams in dialogue with customers to ensure we accurately reflect our cards capability.

What you’ll bring:

  • Deep understanding of Card Issuance (including Debit Issuance), with a minimum of 7 years’ experience.
  • Knowledge of the Card Scheme frameworks and operational models (Visa preferred).
  • Experience working with Card Processing partners.
  • Strong commercial acumen, experience of owning a Product P&L, ability to devise appropriate pricing models and understand cost drivers.
  • Proven Product Leadership skills – a minimum of 5 years as a Senior Product Manager.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills – able to interact with colleagues across the organisation.
  • Demonstrable understanding of Operational requirements to support card issuance – including Fraud / Risk Management, Customer Servicing, PCI Compliance and Reconciliation.
  • A drive to enhance ClearBank’s position as a leading provider of Embedded Banking and Clearing solutions by seamlessly integrating cards to create broader customer‑centric propositions.

Our hiring process and what you can expect:

  • Application: A member of our talent acquisition team will review your application against the key requirements for the role and let you know within two weeks whether you’re moving forward to the next stage.
  • Screening: You’ll spend 30-45 minutes speaking to one of our recruiters learning more about the role and ClearBank, and we’ll get to know more about you, your experience and how your skills align with the role (this will be via phone or Teams video call).
  • First Interview: You’ll spend one hour with a member of our hiring team focusing on your skills, competencies and your ways of working while we give you time to ask more questions about the role, the team and learn more about the ClearBank culture.
  • Second Interview: This will be a competency-based interview with one or more members of our team.
  • Final Stage: You will have a final meeting with the Head of Department. This will be around 45-60 minutes.
