Mechanical Lead – Data Centre Project Contract Type: Contract 6-12 months Lead and manage the complete mechanical package on a large-scale Data Centre project. Coordinate and oversee mechanical subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. Manage the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems. Review and monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks where required. Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards. Work closely with the Project Manager, Commissioning Team, Design Team, and Client Representatives. Drive quality assurance processes, inspections, and snagging activities. Support programme management and ensure key project milestones are achieved. Proven experience as a Mechanical Lead, Mechanical Manager, or Senior Mechanical Engineer on data centre projects. Strong understanding of mechanical systems within mission-critical environments, including HVAC, chilled water, cooling systems, pipework, and associated infrastructure. Demonstrable experience managing the full mechanical package on large-scale construction projects. Previous hyperscale or colocation Data Centre experience is essential. Strong knowledge of commissioning, QA/QC processes, and project delivery. Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced project environment.
