We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance BMS Commissioning Engineer to support our client with the delivery of major SMART commercial building projects commencing this summer. This position will involve commissioning support across complex smart building environments, working alongside project delivery teams, systems integrators, and specialist contractors to ensure successful system integration and operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out and support commissioning activities across SMART building projects
- Commission and validate BMS systems within commercial environments
- Support integration works involving EMS, MSI, and CNS platforms
- Complete point-to-point checks, functional testing, and system witnessing
- Assist with fault finding, diagnostics, and resolution during commissioning phases
- Liaise with project managers, controls engineers, subcontractors, and client teams
- Ensure commissioning activities are completed in line with programme deadlines and project specifications
Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer
- Previous work on SMART commercial building projects or similar
- Strong knowledge of: BMS, EMS, MSI & CNS
- Experience working within live construction and commissioning environments
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and commissioning documentation
- Strong communication and coordination skills
