Electrical Design Engineer required for a leading engineering consultancy delivering complex, mission-critical data centre projects across the UK and Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge data centre developments, supporting projects through the full design lifecycle
. You'll be involved from concept and feasibility through detailed design, technical coordination, construction support, commissioning, and project completion.
The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with

The Role
- Electrical Design Engineer
- Full project lifecycle involvement (RIBA Stages 1–7)
- Design and coordination of electrical building services systems
- Produce and review technical design documentation and calculations
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams, clients and contractors
- Hybrid working (1–3 days per week in Central London)
- Freelance contract
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within building services.
- Experience delivering projects across all design stages.
- Strong knowledge of LV power distribution, UPS systems, standby generation, lighting, earthing and other critical electrical infrastructure.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary consultancy teams.
- Proficiency with industry-standard electrical design software and relevant UK design standards.
